Teens have used camera phones to send their nude photos to all their friends
Yes because…
Taking a photo and sending it out is easy and instant when you use a camera phone. A growing concern is the abuse of camera phones by teens you take nude/naked photographs of themselves. This obviously does does allow for healthy and normal social interaction. Many teens face criminal charges and psychological trauma that will most naturally adversely affect their present and future.

“Many of these pictures are falling into the wrong hands — or worse, everyone’s hands, via the Internet — and leading to criminal charges”
“They were pretty graphic,” said sheriff’s Sgt. Mark Yehle. “I think they just do it to impress their boyfriends. When he breaks up, he ‘vents,’ in his words, by posting them. He apparently didn’t think there was anything wrong with it. He didn’t know it was illegal.”
“I just don’t understand why kids would do a stupid thing like that,” said Rochelle Hoins of Castle Rock, Colo., where 18 students in her twin sons’ middle school sent around nude pictures of themselves last year. “We did dumb things when we were kids, but not like that,”

Take away their cell phones and they’ll use webcams; the core issue is that of internet porn addiction and behaviors resulting from it.
We had cellphones but we didn’t take nude pictures of ourselves; this activity is pretty recent. I however, hold the opinion that the majority does not use cellphones for this purpose. I think the fact that this phenomenon has emerged and is growing fast, might be because porn is no longer taboo and girls today; watch it too or something?

Cellphones are used to avoid emotional confrontation and real human contact
Yes because…
“A person is in an unhealthy phase of obsessive and constant cell phone use. This may be caused by the newness of the device or by an emotional problem that makes them use the cell phone to isolate from others who surround them. Or, it might be that the increasing use of the cell phone by everyone else causes the person to get one of their own.”[[http://www.helium.com/items/1915501-why-cell-phone-are-an-anti-social-invention]]
More often than not; people use cellphones to pull themselves away from a crowd or ring themselves to get out of an uneasy situation/conversation where they have to confront themselves emotionally. Text has no tone; breaking up by thumb-text is so much easier than a face-to-face or phone conversation where you hear the crying and wailing. Real social interaction which forces you to develop an emotional conscience is thus inhibited.

Sometimes emotional breakdowns on the phone or in person can be embarrassing and lead to no growth. To allow the other person the dignity and composure of not having to visibly and audibly break down; is the most decent and civil way to do it.

Yes because…
[[http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2010/11/10/police-search-for-cell-phone-muggers-in-nyc/]]
Drivers, maids and homeless people have fancy cellphones now; cellphone robberies are common. And just like smuggled/stolen/fake designer wear fancy cellphones are everywhere. What carrying a gigantic expensive cellphone/Blackberry/Iphone does is make the average person a potential victim of a robbery, mugging or worse. All the functions of the cellphone thus become void.

They’re still a necessity; I keep a cheap low-priced Nokia n series phone just to get things done. No matter how much you insist you prefer communication on Facebook or g-mail; in the end S.M.S messages and missed calls; prevail. People will sooner text you at emergencies than use anything else to let you know. [[http://www.mobiletechnews.com/info/2007/04/19/115927.html]]
Phones are less of a status symbol because they are cheaper. This makes them less of a target for theft. Also, a good quality phone wouldn’t be large. Old phones are large.

The most social kids in school today are constantly talking to their friends on their* i-phones or androids or other cellphone varieties:
Thumb-Texting is the current most popular medium for planning parties or asking people out on dates etc etc.
Since a cellphone is almost always on your person the issue of using cells is not that it inhibits an active social life but that it creates an overactive social life; making it near impossible or do or think about anything else. A constantly ringing phone/device can be a nag for workers and students alike.
Security: The best means to keep track of your teens

Many parents worry about where their kids are; when they are out. In times of yore, this meant flipping through phone books and looking for friends’ phone numbers; calling their homes only to find out that the kids were at a fast-food joint or party where they could not be contacted.
Fast-forward into our time and parents can call their kids where-ever they are. [[http://www.wirelessandmobilenews.com/2008/09/cell-phones-impact-teen-life-s.html]] Cellphones make both teenagers and adults feel secure; if Grandpa who suffers from old age dementia/amnesia/Alzhiemers’ went for a walk and lost; you can always call him up and find him. If you don’t have a ride home and are punch-drunk; call a cab and viola.
Yes because…
Many kids and grownups feel that the cellphone is a leash they want to break away from; they keep their cellphones off to keep nagging parents from calling them 24/7 and to preserve their cellphone’s battery life.
Not all cellphones have trackers on them. People can always lie about where they are and what their doing. [[http://cellphonetrackers.org/]]
The use of a mobile phone requires a social life.
No because…
You need friends to actually talk to on the phone, and the social skills to actually maintain a conversation about something. It isn’t like an Internet forum where you can pester complete strangers.
In addition, it is still in real time and people can still hear your tone of voice, so it isn’t that different apart from not seeing the person’s body language and facial expressions – they can still tell if you are being sarcastic, lying, nervous etc.
Yes because…
Studies continue to emphatically expose the adverse effects of cell phone radiation; without refutation.

Tell that to all those crack callers I keep getting missed calls from. Badgering strangers or not is possible on both the internet and on a mobile. The difference is privacy policies and Cyber-laws protect the average internet browser; whereas, there are no protections for those being harassed on their cellphone.
And no I’ve tried the add to screen list option; the calls still come but the phone doesn’t ring and calls I ‘do’ want to receive are impeded.
all you need is a phone number; some creeps even dial in random numbers and then wait and see who picks up.
Cell phones are even more versatile than public payphones for those who change Sims often; so they don’t worry about call tracing. This is why cellphones are central to crime and terrorism.
Demo:
Get disposable phone; insert disposable Sim
Call anyone from anywhere.(fellow criminals, stalker target, person to blackmail etc)
Give phone to complete stranger or throw it in a trash bin; from which any random person can pick it up.
Avoid being traced.
Better connected via mobile phone
No because…
Mobile phone is a breakthrough invention that helps us to be better connected. Even texting is also considered as socialising but of course it is not the best way to socialise. Nevertheless, its creation allow us to stay connected with friends and family. It gives more opportunity to interact.Imagine how often we can interact with our friends or family without mobile phone compared to with mobile phone. And observing the current trend, it is true that it is an growing addiciton among the teens.

The debate makes no sense
