IS UNDERAGE MARRIAGE ALRIGHT? DO YOU THINK THAT PEOPLE CAN FALL IN LOVE UNDER THE AGE OF 18?
Older people believe that people under 18 can't fall in love and especially not get married! But isn't there people that are still together today after falling in love at a young age and getting married at 18 or younger?!?! It's so possible. But what is your view on this topic?
Is underage marriage alright? Do you think that people can fall in love under the age of 18?
Yes, because... YES
I think that people DO fall in love at a young age. Sometimes it don't work out and sometimes it does. But isn't that the same with older?....there are older couples that just fall oout of love and they got married at an older age. I believe love comes with many ages and you cant justify that.
There is an overwhelming body of evidence to demonstrate that marriages between young partners simply do not last. At 16, you can't drive, vote, serve actively in the Army, drink or buy cigarettes. Clearly, someone who is not of an age to be given full responsibility for their life should not be encouraged to marry and start a family. The permission of young marriage comes from a prudish era where marriage was regarded as a prerequisite for sex. This is no longer the case. We need to accept that teens, whilst being normally sexually active, are simply not mature enough to marry.

No, because... Potentially open to abuse as it undermines rights of children to live free from adult constraints
There may be cases when marriage that is technically underage is not always between two people fully and freely consenting. however we have to accept that in some cases people do get married for the right reasons below the definition . Currently in the UK people can get married at the age of 16 however they have to have their parents written permission to do so[1] . This is a check that admittedly while it is open to abuse allows for a minority of people to avoid the tyranny of the majority and follow their hearts genuinely. Furthermore some people do choose to grow up fast so to speak when they commit to a profession for instance motor racing or acting so why not with children .

Currently all people can be recognised as being married (or in a civil partnership) in Sweden when they are 18 but this wasn't always the case.[1] Until 2004 people who had married in other countries could be recognised as such if they were 15 or over. This opened the door to forced marriages or people put in arrangements, depriving children of their final few years of childhood by putting a constraint of being in a legally recognised relationship and forcing children to grow up too fast[2].
Point 1. YES
