BELIEF IN FREEWILL IS ESSENTIAL FOR A FUNCTIONAL SOCIETY

Even if we find it impossible to prove freewill scientifically, like altruism it is a essential concept for us to believe in, as paradoxically, if we did not believe we have a choice, I,m sure it would effect our behaviour in a negative way and deminish hope in people.
Belief in Freewill is essential for a functional society
No, because... people need to know the truth
if we do act out roles in a destiny, rather than of our own free will, we need to know that, rather than lying to ourselves and being ignorant. living a lie would affect morale just as much, and has other negative consquences such as hurting yourself continuously trying to go against your destiny. this holds for all of consensus reality.

Point 1. people need to know the truth
