With so many points of comparison, why is one revered as an omnipotent and enduring example of perfection, and the other the architypal face of evil?

Yes, because... The merciless abolition of those who oppose
God condemns those who sin against him or simply don't believe in him to eternal torture, Hitler killed over three million non-jewish Poles who were supposed communists or political opposition.
The opposite statement is based on the classical theistic God. Not all believers in God believe in the God of classical theism. Jesus, whom orthodox Christians believe to be God, also forgave his enemies whilst on the cross.

Yes, because... The desire for control
Hitler attempted to erradicate Jews to create and control his perfect world, God punishes those who go against the ten commandments, which he sent to control our bahavior despite his supposed desire for our free-will
Hitler just killed jews- no questions asked. God may punish you for your sins but you will be absolved if you are repentant.And the commandments are there to save us from ourselves- and the same could be said for government law. Sacrificing personal freedom for the common good.

Hitler is hated as the initiator of the World War II by acting upon his beliefs about 'racial purity', members of islam worship suicide bombers as religious crusaders, both are fought against by western cultures
No religion advocates anything like racial genocide. Religions originate from many distinct cultures, hence their appropriation by racists as a means of justifying their own agendas, but not one of the world's major religions advocates the supremacy of one race of people over another. I fail to see how Islamic suicide bombers can be seen as representative of their religion when the Prophet Mohammed condemned suicide.
