Most of the cartoons are violent.
It is a fact that most of the cartoons shown on TV are extremely violent. This not only affects young children but adults to. You are not able to understand the impact they have on you. Take us an example “Ben 10”. Apart from shallow joy, what else does it offer to you? It is the story of a boy with a watch, which can transform in many kinds of aliens and he fights with his cousin, who is a witch, aliens, who want to destroy the Earth. Obviously, most of adults can understand that, what they see is not real. But how will you explain that to your child, who wants to be like Ben 10? We all know about children trying to be “Superman” and “Batman” and falling from balconies to fly. Let’s be realistic. Cartoons affect us and especially children. A child watching cartoons such us this will become aggressive and violent and antisocial and there is no way you can prevent it. Adults will become antisocial too and there are other TV programs, like a documentary, a child or a grown up can watch. It will give you interesting and useful information and you will enjoy it, as much as something meaningless as a cartoon.
It is such a shame when we are trying to decide whether something is right or wrong by looking at one-sided example. Everybody would have to admit that yes, in several kinds of cartoon movies/stories, they contain violence, fights and some impossible entities which in fact do not exist. But, that's just part of the entertainment. What do you expect to be the entertainment for children then? some sort of adult movies? I would say no. Then the example that has been stated can actually be caused by merely the mistake of the children's socialization stage. It might be their parents who didn't properly take care of their children while consuming this cartoon movie, it might be their parents did not teach them what's the right thing to do and which one is not, or it might be the environment surrounding the kid which influence him to comply what they've just watched in the movie, then he will kick, punch or smack his own friend like what they seen in the cartoon movie. It's pathetic when we say that it does more harm where in fact basic foundation of the child that is all we need to overcome such problems. By developing a strong basic mindset on those children, these occurrence can be avoided and I believe it's not the cartoon movie to blame when such thing happens.
Some can be educational
Not all cartoons are violent, with a parent's guidance, a child can learn a lot from cartoons. One example is Mickey Mouse or Jake and the Never Land Pirates.
