WE DON'T HAVE ENOUGH COLLECTIVE CONSCIOUS TO SURVIVE...
We are all wrapped up in making things happen so quickly, we don't have time to think about the 'petri dish' that sustains our existence. And beyond that our desire... Why can't people be more conscious?
We don't have enough collective conscious to survive...
Yes, because... Finite resources
Our Earth will not be able to withstand our over-reliance on natural, non-recycled materials. If authorities made facilities available, I think people would be able to take a more involved approach to the future of our existence.
We don't have enough collective conscious to survive...
Yes, because... Mother Earth
Humans in westernised society think they are more powerful than tsunamis, hurricanes, floods and earthquakes.
They do not think they are more powerful. However they do have the technology and capital to counteract some of the effects of natural disasters and to predict when they are going to happen. We can't control them but we can take measures to lessen their impact.

We don't have enough collective conscious to survive...
No, because... New technology will save the environment
Technology will never be able to harness enough of mother earth's raw power for advantage...

Also look at the LHC... scary stuff which will probably be our downfall.
The very same technology which is causing environmental damage will eventually be the worlds saviour.
Without technological advances we wouldn't have "carbon capture" technology. We wouldn't have biofuels.
As we damage the world, we'll create technologies to save it at the same time.
In the long-term everything will even out.

Point 1. Finite resources
Our Earth will not be able to withstand our over-reliance on natural, non-recycled materials. If authorities made facilities available, I think people would be able to take a more involved approach to the future of our existence.
Point 2.
