No, because... GTMO will not be shut down by January 2010 as promised by the Obama administration.

It will 'eventually' be shut down. The prison has been an international problem long before Obama's term. The simple fact that his administration is tackling the issue head on in lieu of shoving it aside like everyone else means that he means business.

 

One of the most important promises that the ruling U.S administration made was to shut down Guantanamo bay by next january. They said that the methods of torture used at the prison , denounced internationally will be ceased , yet complexities have arisen around the issue and Obama has backtracked on HIS own deadline.[1]
